Golden Enoki Mushrooms

Golden Enoki Mushrooms

Golden Enoki Mushrooms look like Enoki but their caps are light to dark-brown in colour. They are very popular in Asian cooking. In Japan they are called Enoki and in China they are called Golden Needle mushrooms. They are also sometimes referred to as Lily Mushrooms.

They are long and thin and grow in tightly packed groups. They are popular in Japanese, Korean and Chinese dishes.

These mushrooms are delicate, with a mild, nutty flavour but their texture is firm and crunchy.

Golden Enoki are quick and easy to cook and can be added to raw vegetables, noodle dishes, omelettes, stir-frys or soups. They can also be sauteed, simmered, boiled or blanched. They can be added raw to salads.

They are best stored in a paper bag in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Golden Enoki mushrooms are rich in Vitamin B6, Vitamin D, Pantothenic Acid, Potassium, Riboflavin, Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc, Copper and Thiamine.
